On the Top of Europe: A visit to the Jungfraujoch puts a jewel in the crown of any visit to Switzerland.
For more than 100 years, the Jungfrau railway has been making its journey to Europe’s highest-altitude railway station at 3454 metres a.s.l. – right at the heart of the UNESCO heritage site “Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch”. The journey with the Jungfraubahn starts via Grindelwald-Kleine Scheidegg to the Top of Europe. All through the year, the cog railway runs steeply up through a tunnel to the Jungfraujoch from Kleine Scheidegg. On the summit, visitors are greeted by a high-Alpine wonder world made of ice, snow and rocks. All of this can be marvelled at from the viewing platforms “Sphinx” and “Plateau” on the Aletsch glacier or from the “Ice Palace”.
Visit the winter wonderland of Mount Titlis from Engelberg, year-round. You will feel on top of the world as you take in the spectacular panoramic views of snow-covered mountains and unspoilt Alpine landscapes.
-Ride the world’s first revolving cable car, the TITLIS ROTAIR gondola, to the summit Station, enjoying panoramic views of the Swiss Alps along the way.
-TITLIS Cliff Walk: The highest suspension bridge in Europe is located on the mountain at 9,971 feet (3,041 meters) above sea level.
-Ice Flyer: The Ice Flyer chairlift covers the distance from the mountain station to the snow park, gliding above snowfields and icy crevasses that can measure up to 33 feet (ten meters) deep.
